But in every church I've been in for decades, people are encouraged to extinguish their candles while still in their pews. I think I have childhood memories of at least walking out of the sanctuary with a lighted candle. Times change -- I think fire departments absolutely shudder at such services! <br /><br />Thanks for sharing.
